All Weather, Inc.’s Model 8339 Laser Ceilometer Receives CE Certification
Sacramento, CA (January 23, 2006) — All Weather, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high accuracy, high dependability weather information systems and meteorological sensors, today announced that the company has received CE certification for the Model 8339 Laser Ceilometer. The Model 8339 is the only ceilometer on the market that is able to simultaneously detect and measure up to four layers of clouds at heights up to 30,000 feet (9 km). Capable of measuring the thickness of individual cloud layers, it is also the only ceilometer that can penetrate to such heights using an eye-safe, low power, laser transmitter. Advanced digital signal processing algorithms ensure the system provides highly accurate reporting of cloud base locations in all weather conditions.
“All Weather, Inc. has completed extensive testing of the Model 8339 Laser Ceilometer to ensure that the product complies with European Directives and safety standards,” stated Gary Wagner, CEO of All Weather, Inc. “In addition, independent testing by third-party sources has benchmarked the system as providing more accurate data in a variety of challenging weather conditions, whether heavy precipitation or low clouds. Both vertical visibility and ground-based obscurations can be reported while locating higher layers of clouds.”
