Overview

The 9620 Series of compact weather stations provide a low-cost, light-weight solution for monitoring weather elements in a variety of applications. Designed with accuracy in mind, each 9620 Series sensor is equipped with a ventilated housing that provides radiation protection. This ensures that your weather data is not skewed by the interference of additional elements. These all-in-one units can be used as stand-alone devices, or incorporated into a larger custom weather system.

The Model 9620 Compact Weather Station is a base model unit which offers wind speed and direction data using an ultrasonic wind sensor. This model is also equipped with an integrated electronic compass to assist in north/south adjustments of the sensor housing.

The Model 9621 Compact Weather Station provides highly accurate readings of air temperature, humidity, and air pressure.

Air temperature is measured using a highly accurate NTC-resistor while humidity is measured using a capacitive humidity sensor. The measurement of temperature and humidity allow for the calculation of additional variables such as dew point, absolute humidity, and mixing ratio.

Absolute pressure is measured using a built-in sensor (MEMS). In order to calculate air pressure relative to sea level, the barometric formula is used with the aid of local altitude information, which is set by the user.

The Model 9622 Compact Weather Station incorporates all of the precision measurements available in the Model 9621 but adds the ability to measure precipitation.

Snow and rain are both measured using time-tested radar technology. The precipitation sensor works with a 24 GHz Doppler radar, which measures the drop speed and size. By correlating these two variables, the sensor is able to calculate precipitation type and quantity.

The Model 9623 Compact Weather Station is a simple and cost-effective solution for measuring weather variables within the air. This model features high-tech sensors that take precision measurements of the following element.

Air Temperature
Relative Humidity
Air Pressure
Wind Speed
Wind Direction

In many ways, the Model 9623 is a combination of the Models 9620 and 9621. The ultrasonic wind sensor and electronic compass used in the Model 9620 are also used here however, they are incorporated with the Model 9621's temperature, humidity, and pressure sensors.
